President Tim Martinez called meeting to order.
Robert N. reported $250 NNMMGGA dues collected. 34 guests paid $170 in entrance fees from Wine & Cheese. The GEVCDC has pledged $150.00. Total: $570 less expenses of $462.94. New beginning balance: $117.06
Membership Update - $250 in dues collected thus far.
Website - Discussion on website. NNMMGGA member Dave Wood working on website. Motion made by Tim M. to officially make Dave Wood our web master and to pay reasonable fee for monthly website costs to Dave Wood. Seconded by Lucia Sanchez. Unanimous. Website is up.
Ross Varela , appointed Treasurer, has decided against growing wine grapes and thus cannot serve as Treasurer. Robert N. will serve as Secretary/Treasurer per action at NNMMGGA organizational meeting.
2011 Northern NM Grape Growers & Wine Conference. Tim explained conference will be held Fri. Aug. 26, 2011. Registration to open June 15, 2011. Event will feature a Grape Growers & Winery Matchmaker Luncheon, Negotiating & Maintaining Long term Grape Contracts & Relationships and a "Grapes of NM" wine tasting.
Tim has company that puts on Conferences and has proposed organizing this conference through his company, T&E Enterprises. The NNMMGGA and T&E Enterprises will share proceeds from conference using industry profit sharing standards. Motion made by Lucia S. to present Conference proposal to NNMMGGA membership for approval. Seconded by Robert N. Unanimous.
